Time for a Dip...

Boys,

Since we brought you fellas home, both of you have been drawn to the water. You boys love bath time. You guys kick and kick every time we put you in. With summer coming to a close, Mommy and I thought it would be a good time to see if we could get you two in the pool.

Today was Labor Day, so I didn't have to work today. I was able to hang out with Mommy and you guys all day long. We had a BBQ at Grampy and Grammy's house. Then, we went over to Aunt Jo and Uncle D's pool. Although it was a hot day, the water in the pool was quite cool. It had been raining the past few days prior to today.

I got in the water and it was chilly, but we figured you guys still might like to get in. I was nervous that you guys might get upset, but we wanted to at least try. Mommy handed me Boston first. Boston, your little body shivered and initial you got a little upset. But, after a few minutes, you got a little more used to the sun and the cool water. And, before I knew it, you were smiling and kicking your legs. It was pretty awesome.

Braxton did want to just sit on the pool deck. Brax, you wanted to jump in too. While daddy was swimming with Boston, your Aunt Riss brought you in the pool. Initially, like your brother, you were not too happy with the coolness of the water. But, in a short amount of time, you were swimming like a fish.

Your Aunt Riss held you as Kennedy showed you how it was done. You thought she was pretty silly in her goggles. You even began hitting and splashing the water when she came by.

And, after watching her swim around like a fish...you wanted a try.  You became quite the little minnow in no time. And, you enjoyed every minute of it.

Mommy didn't want to miss out on the fun! So, after standing on the pool deck for a little while, she decided to jump in. Before I knew it, Mommy stole Boston. She loved swimming with one of her little dudes in her arms. And, Boston, you loved it!

Like your brother, you began swimming like a little seahorse in no time.

After quite a while in the pool, it was time for your guys' dip to end. It was quite a successful swim for the first time.

And, after you guys got out, Grammy was more than ready to hold you as you warmed up.

We are going to make many more trips to the pool now.

I love you guys!

Love,
Dad
