What a BUZZ?!!

Boston & Braxton,

As of tomorrow, your beautiful, loving, and heroic mother will have carried the two of you for 36 weeks. She is tough as nails, and she has done amazing things for the two of you. As she grows by the day, you boys grow too. We have watched you grow from embryos too small to see with the naked eye to healthy fetuses on the brink of six pounds. It has been an amazing journey, and it is only the beginning.

It is looking like we will make it to 38 weeks since your mother is so tough! Here she is at 36 weeks, and she is running out of room to keep cookin' you too. Actually, she has been out of room for a while. But, she continues cooking with a smile.

Today, we went to monitoring again. The doctors take a look at your heartbeats and movements. It brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes every time I hear them. But, prior to your mother getting hooked up to all the gadgets...she has to get an ultrasound. They have to see where each of you is located at this point. Boston is transverse and Braxton is breech. Good thing we opted for a C-Section. Anyways, during the ultrasounds...one of you always decides to be a pain in the rump. You see, it has already begun.

Today, Braxton decided to cause issues for the ultrasound check. Braxton was laying directly on the membrane that separates the two of you. And, he refused to move. The tech could not see the fluid level because of this. She poked and pushed at mommy's tummy trying to get Braxton to move. But, it didn't work. Braxton, you simply wouldn't move! Mommy could not move on to monitoring until the tech got the measurements she needed.

And, when it came down to it, desperate measures must be taken. You were about to get buzzed, which your mother allowed. Let the abuse begin I guess...or...maybe this is payback for all the dance parties. At any rate, I would wake her up with a UFC match tonight!

She told the technician that she could buzz you. I watched the screen as the "nice" lady placed an instrument on mom's belly. She pushed a button and a loud, screeching sound was released. This sent you into a frenzy. You jumped quickly up into your mommy's ribs which she thoroughly enjoyed. You tried to hide from the noise. It was pretty incredible to watch.

After being buzzed, you both decided to cooperate. So, Boston...you can blame Braxton for the ringing in your little ears. And, you both can blame your mother for allowing and encouraging the buzzing to happen.

Monitoring continues to go flawlessly. You heartbeats are strong and your movements are great! And, in a few weeks, you two can keep practicing those moves outside of the comforts of the belly.

I cannot wait.

Love you.

Love,
Dad
